Writing up a report on your project

There are various ways of writing up your project. However, the usual form for a written Report is as follows:

TITLE - accurate and short.
SUMMARY - a brief statement of the problem and your research.
INTRODUCTION - reason/s for your interest in the problem, relevant work done and background information.
DISCUSSION of the problem and the formulation of the hypothesis, relating to your investigation.
DETAILS of materials and equipment used, methodology employed, experimentalsteps taken and controls employed.
SUMMARY of observations and/or data.
CONCLUSION/S drawn from your observations/data.
New questions, possible applications, future plans, if any.
APPENDIX/DICES – graphs, tables, photographs and drawings.
BIBLIOGRAPHY and acknowledgements
