Rules for Hunt for the Million Rand Battery competition

This competition is free and any South African resident may enter, except employees of Eveready (Pty) Ltd, its associated companies, advertising and promotional agencies, and their immediate family members.
Enter by sending the last 4 digits of any participating Eveready product bar code to 34615. Entries charged at R2 per SMS.
The prize is R10 000 per week for the 8-week duration of the promotion – 7 May to 30 June 2007.
The 8 randomly selected winners must be available to travel to Durban for the day during July 2007. Airfare will be provided. They will each be given the chance to stake their claim in a dig site. If they strike the box containing the Eveready Golden Battery they will win R1 000 000.
In the event of none of the finalists striking the box, the contestant whose claim flag is closest to the revealed site of the hidden battery will receive a R50 000 cash prize. The willingness to travel to Durban is the contestant’s responsibility.
The competition closes on 30 June 2007. No late entries will be accepted.
The winners will be randomly selected from all entries received by an impartial judge whose decision is final. Winners will be notified by phone. No correspondence will be entered into.
