Project Dignity Fundraising Campaign for Women’s Month

Date : 01 August 2019

Join Eveready South Africa in making a difference this National Women’s Month by participating in our #EvereadyxProjectDignity fundraising campaign for Project Dignity.

Who is Project Dignity?

If you haven’t heard of this incredible cause, Project Dignity is a local non-profit organisation (NPO) that distributes reusable, eco-friendly sanitary pads to disadvantaged South African school girls between the ages of 10-19.

It is a widespread yet unacknowledged problem that girls in South Africa miss school and stay at home because of menstruation. In fact, there are 7 million schoolgirls in South Africa who don’t have access to sanitary pads for financial reasons. Many substitute regular pads for less safe and absorbent materials such as rags, newspaper or bark.

By distributing re-usable sanitary pads, Project Dignity aims to reduce school absenteeism and dropouts, and empower young women to complete their education with dignity! Visit their website at www.projectdignity.org.za to find out more.
