Eveready Hosts NQF Level 2 Learnership for Unemployed Learners

Date : 10 August 2018

Eveready is set to host 16 unemployed learners, nine of whom are disabled, on an NQF Level 2 Learnership in Business Administration. The learnership, which will be presented by the Production Management Institute (PMI), is worth 130 credits and includes eight modules, as follows:

  1. The business environment,
  2. Communication at work,
  3. Personal growth at work,
  4. Teamwork and managing your time,
  5. Office skills,
  6. Basic finance skills,
  7. Using a computer, and
  8. Working with data.

The learnership is designed to help the unemployed participants develop essential skills in the field of business administration. It includes both a theoretical and practical component, which will ultimately enable participants to compile a portfolio of evidence on their administration skills.

Eveready’s Human Resources Consultant, Lauren Currie, emphasised the importance of skills development and how it has a positive impact on broader society.

“Eveready is passionate about skills development because we want to help people upskill themselves and escape unemployment and poverty, particularly in the Eastern Cape and especially for disabled individuals,” she said.

Classes for the learnership are set to start in September 2018 and will run for 12 consecutive months, with many of the learners having already secured work as part of the learnership’s compulsory practical component.

From all of us at Eveready, we would just like to send well wishes to each of the learners as they start this challenging and exciting learnership. We look forward to seeing your professional growth and achievements!
