Beat Load Shedding with our Brand-New Inverter
Date : 27 July 2015
Today we are proud to launch our brand-new product by Kestrel – the inverter. With load shedding becoming almost a daily experience for all of us in South Africa, now is a better time than ever to invest in something that will make your life a bit easier.
For the many people all over the country who are affected by load shedding at home and at work, the inverter is not only cheaper than a generator; but is also not noisy and it saves you money in the long run as you won’t need to buy petrol for it.
An inverter converts DC (Direct Current) power into AC (Alternating Current) power, so that you can use your AC-powered devices even when the electricity is off.
Unlike a generator that runs off petrol, an inverter is a battery that needs to be charged every so often so that it can power your devices.
How does the Eveready Inverter work?
Our inverter will power your low drain devices for 3 to 6 hours, depending on which package you choose. Devices such as your TV, DSTV decoder, laptop and Wi-Fi (to name a few) will be powered by the inverter – as well as your lights.
Not only does the inverter have wheels for easy transport, but it’s also very easy to use by following these simple steps:
1.To charge the inverter battery set, all you need to do is plug the UPS into the grid – whether it be a utility grid or Eskom.
2.Once charged, plug your appliances into the 220V AC plugsin the inverter.
Eveready understands that different sized inverters will be needed for different sized houses, which is why we have 2 package options for you to choose from:
- Option 1:720 Watt inverter and 100AH battery for R5870.
- Option 2: 720 Watt inverter and 200AH battery for R7865.
Included in the price of both options are 5 wired LED downlights, which can be plugged into the BPS System outlets in the inverter.
This inverter is the perfect solution to power your devices, but please note that it doesn’t power high drain devices such as heaters and microwaves.
