The well equipped and spacious manufacturing facility together with our continuous casting and rolling process enables the production of zinc calot components of consistent quality and high purity, suitable for use in the manufacture of primary batteries.

The operation is flexible and allows for the manufacture of product tailored to the specific requirements of the customer, whether it be, zinc coils, strip, sheet, rings, slabs, anode plates or cast zinc components. Alloy specifications can be tailored to meet the customer’s requirements. In addition the volume capability allows the Plant to meet the needs of large international Corporations as well as those of smaller speciality / niche Companies.

The Zinc production facility is quality certified (ISO 9001:2000; ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001) and is supported by a technical group with full analytical and technical capability.  The focus on quality management, together with the attention on environmental and safety management systems ensures a high quality, consistent product manufactured with consideration for the environment.

The geographic location of the Plant close to a reliable and reputable source of Zinc together with the proximity to an international Port with competitive freight rates means that the operation is well positioned to meet the demands of export customers.
