Eveready’s Super Charge Your Summer campaign 

There’s nothing like having a little extra cash in the summer holidays. This summer Eveready South Africa (PTY) Ltd ran a promotional campaign allowing consumers to super charge their holidays:

“The Super Charge Your Summer” campaign.

The promotion ran from 1 November 2009 to 10 January 2010 across all types of Eveready batteries in all major retailer outlets.

What made this promotion different from the rest, was that Consumers could win R5,000, R10,000 or R15,000 per week, depending on how many packs of Eveready batteries they purchased. All they had to do to win was to purchase any variant of Eveready battery pack (Power Plus, Power Plus Gold or Alkaline Plus) and enter the unique code found in the on-pack sticker. One entry and you could win R5,000; two entries and you could win R10,000 and if you entered three codes you stood the chance of winning R15,000.

One of our lucky prize winners, Dawn Clark from Durban, had this to say about the promotion: “ My son plays a lot of X-box and so I am always buying batteries. I find Eveready batteries just seem to last longer. This competition couldn’t have come at a better time. We were flat broke! We had no food in the house and with my kids in high school, I had School Fees, Uniforms and Modules to think of. The recession hit everyone badly. Thank you Eveready! I don’t know what I would have done without you…”
