In the past Eveready South Africa were suppliers of only Zinc batteries, they then diversified into the Alkaline market in September 2003. Eveready continued to build brand recognition and strive to drive growth for the business.

In Aug 2004 Eveready diversified into the lighting market supplying globes to the South African Market. The massive growth in electrification since 1994 had seriously affected battery sales and the launch of globes under the Eveready brand represented an opportunity to capitalize on this growing market. The Globes are a sub brand of the Eveready brand called Everbright.

In August 2006 Eveready launched Energy Saving Lamps under a sub brand Everlight.

Eveready further extended their lighting range by sourcing spiral ESL’s, Fluorescent tubes and downlighters. This new range presents great opportunity for ESA to become big players in the lighting market.

Eveready is proud to be the only local lightning provider in South Africa. Eveready provide a full range of energy saving lightning products for the South African and SADC market.

In 2009 a breakthrough in the retail market was achieved when Eveready gained listings for the Energy saving lamps at both Pick and Pay and Spar nationally.
