TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The competition will run from the 1st of November 2009 to the 10th of January 2010.No late entries will be accepted.

Winners of the R5 000 weekly cash prizes will be drawn once a week on the following Monday of the next week for the duration of the promotional period. If the winner is not traceable, for example if the winner cannot be contacted within 30 days of the draw date, the prize will be forfeited and a second draw will take place.

Winners of the daily R5 000 cash prize will be paid out in cash via bank transfer at the end of each week.

Should the winner have entered the competition more than once and to a maximum of three times in the week that they are drawn and have a valid unique code for each entry, they will automatically win an extra R 5 000 or R 10 000 if applicable.

The maximum value of each weekly prize is R15 000 (including VAT).

This competition is only open to/can only be entered by South African citizens.

All winners will be required to present their original proof of purchase (i.e. till slip or product pack) in order to qualify to receive their prize.

Only one sms entry per unique number/pack purchased will be accepted.

SMS entries cost R2.00.This will be at the entrants cost and free minutes do not apply.

Any person over 16 years of age may enter this competition. Prizes should not be offered to children and a minor cannot, theoretically, accept or utilize the prize without assistance from his/her legal guardian.

A person who is (a) a director, member, partner, employee or agent of or consultant to a promoter staff and families of Eveready (Pty) Ltd, their associated companies and advertising agencies, or (b) a spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister, business partner or associate of a person contemplated in paragraph (a), may not participate in a promotional competition held by that promoter.

Grand prizes are not transferable and may not be exchanged for their cash value.

The judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Competition Rules and the Regulations under the Lotteries Act: The competition is a promotional competition as defined in section 54 of the Lotteries Act 1997 (i.e. the entry is subject to purchase of a particular product).

Applicable Terms: In addition to the terms and conditions contained herein, all winners must agree to all applicable terms and conditions of participating stores and outlets. By accepting receipt of any coupons, exchange orders, receipts, contracts, tickets, the customer understands and accepts the applicable terms and conditions.

All winners must have a valid bank account and present a copy of ID.

All winners will be notified telephonically & it is therefore necessary for entrants to provide a valid phone number. It is the responsibility of the participant to provide accurate details of all SMS entries as winners will be notified telephonically.

All winners are selected on an impartial basis and our system for selecting winners is regularly audited.

Eveready will not be held responsible for any delay in delivery of any prizes awarded.

Prize winners must be willing to have themselves photographed & the photo published in Eveready (PTY) Ltd publications. The entrant hereby irrevocably consents to and agrees to the creation and publication of material of whatever nature, including photographs and electronic images, announcing, publicising and/or portraying the winning and/or utilizing the prize/s.

All entrants agree to be bound by the above terms and conditions, which may be amended or varied at any time by the promoter. For situations where a person does not have internet access, these can be requested to be sent by mail or by SMS or in the format as requested by the entrant.
